Escape the ordinary during your stay in Koh Samui, and plan a day of wellness and adventure. Start your morning with a Sunrise Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) tour, a unique way to explore the Samui coastline and an opportunity to try something new. Head back to your accommodation to recharge your batteries with a revitalising morning nap or a soothing foot massage, and then out to lunch to refuel your energy for the afternoon.
This week we had the pleasure to visit PlunkTone Cafe for a healthy and delicious lunch. It’s a hidden gem, overlooking Chaweng lake. The menu offers a great choice of Vegan, Vegetarian and Pescetarian options, and it’s just 5-minute drive from the centre of Chaweng.
My pick for lunch was the “Buddha-style” Bowl with grilled vegetables served with a Japanese style dressing. I also ordered the Spinach soup – I figured a green soup would be packed full of nutrients!. Meanwhile Ian enjoyed the Falafel wrap which was served with zingy pickled cucumbers and the house-hummus, washing it down with an alcohol-free Rosemary & butterfly-pea cocktail.
If you’re traveling on foot, it’s fairly easy to get to PlunkTone Cafe. Hop on a song taew into Chaweng and follow the lakeside path – a 5km circuit if you’re up for the stroll. Alternatively you can take the footbridge across the lake, near Central Festival mall. If you’re driving, it’s quite a simple route around the south end of the lake and head over towards Soi Reggae. Start planning your Samui adventures now, and be sure to add PlunkTone Cafe to your list of cafes to visit in Koh Samui. The cafe is open from 8am to 6pm, serving breakfasts, lunch and desserts.
